cancer nutrition consultations in English and Greek

Korina is a BANT-registered nutritionist and nutritional therapy practitioner specialising in integrative cancer nutrition support. Her academic background is originally in psychology where she studied at the University of Athens, Greece.

In 2016 she was diagnosed with Grade IV lymphoma (a form of blood cancer) and was disappointed at the lack of integrative support and poor nutritional knowledge of her standard medical team. As a lymphoma survivor, Korina subsequently embarked on a journey of studying Nutritional Therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. She has also studied with Dr Nina Fuller Shavel since 2020, completing both the NTEC certified Systems Approach to Cancer course and the Advanced Practitioner Module in Breast Cancer. She is also an ongoing member of Dr Nina’s close mentorship group, benefiting and learning from her vast knowledge & experience.

Korina’s special areas of interest are blood cancers (haematological malignancies) and breast cancer. She has a keen interest in complex health cases where she combines both her behavioural science and nutritional therapy knowledge. Korina always follows a personalised, evidence-based approach to nutrition support and is experienced in using additional functional testing approaches, e.g. gut microbiome assessment and nutrigenomics testing.

If you would like some further information, you can contact our clinic coordinator on jody@synthesisclinic.co.uk or book a free 15 min discovery call here (please note that this is an explanatory call only and no personalised advice will be provided). The discovery call should only be booked if you are interested in discussing nutrition and lifestyle support in the context of a current or previous cancer diagnosis, we do not cover general nutrition enquiries. Please note that we do supply recipes and meal ideas but we do not provide meal plans.

Please note that our nutrition team are not able to work with integrative doctors outside our clinic, as we aim to keep an aligned and consistent approach. Similarly, if you are under the care of a dietitian in the NHS, we are not usually able to provide joint support. If you have other professionals apart from your oncology team involved in your care, you will need to notify us and discuss this with our clinic coordinator before booking in. It is essential that you are consciously prepared to make some nutrition and lifestyle changes before contacting the clinic and to invest time and effort into this approach with our support, as it is not a quick fix.
