Dr JEnnifer cooney

HEALTH PHYSIOLOGIST

women’s health COACH

I am a health physiologist, women’s health coach and university lecturer and researcher. I have been researching and working in the area of health and well-being since 2004 and through my work, I have helped and supported people of all ages to improve their current and future health and well-being.

I have a personal and professional interest in women's health (inc. PCOS, primary ovarian insufficiency, perimenopause and menopause) and I have extensive experience working with people living with additional health challenges. Through my research, applied work and collaborations with the National Health Service (NHS), I have helped and supported people living with additional health challenges (inc. arthritis, cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, autoimmune conditions, anxiety, depression) to improve their health and well-being and to achieve their individual health goals. My research in this field has also been published in many peer reviewed scientific journals.

I am passionate about healthy aging and the role that lifestyle medicine plays in helping us all to live healthy and well. Nutrition, movement, sleep, rest, stress management and the connections we have with the people and the world around us, are some of the key foundations to our overall health and well-being; and when any one of these is out of alignment, it can wreak havoc on our health, well-being and how we feel.

I truly believe that everyone, regardless of their age and current health status, can improve their current and future health outcomes and improve how they feel and function on a day-to-day basis. My approach as a health coach is very much evidence-based using the latest scientific research, and my aim is to help you achieve lasting lifestyle changes that will enhance your overall health, now and in the future. After an in-depth consultation which will take a deep dive into your current health and well-being and the key foundations mentioned above, I will support you and help you to incorporate small manageable changes overtime, that fit with you and your life.

With my unique clinical experience, evidence-based expertise in health and well-being and my skills as a health coach, I want to help you get back to feeling better and living more!
