“Connecting body and mind and working with the body's inherent ability to heal itself. Advocating a natural, whole-person approach”

Bronwen is based in Surrey, UK and works face-2-face or online, via Zoom. She is an accredited 800-hour yoga therapist, RYT-200 yoga teacher, freelance wellness writer and founder member of the Yoga Therapy Association, UK. Whilst she is not a specialist, she believes that Yoga Therapy has profound benefits for so many physical and mental conditions. Bronwen is particularly interested in understanding the unique makeup and circumstances of each client and exploring the specific, tailored yoga therapy practices that can help them to live their best life.

As an ex-professional dancer, she has also worked with trained ballet and contemporary dancers, using yoga therapy as a form of cross-training to improve breathing, reduce performance anxiety, improve posture, and maintain strength and flexibility in a safe way, to prevent injury.

Her role is to guide and support each client by listening with kindness and understanding, sharing her knowledge and teaching the practical tools that provides a safe, nurturing space to enable balance and resilience. She is passionate about how yoga therapy addresses the whole being – physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual because the nature of human experience is one of interconnection and rediscovering a sense of self and safety - that is where the path to healing lies. It is the combination of movement, breathing, relaxation practices, practical tools and lifestyle choices, within a caring and compassionate environment, that can empower clients to take charge of their own health and wellbeing.

For Bronwen, yoga therapy is about:

  • Understanding and balancing the interplay between chronic disease, the mind and physiology and how the application of yoga therapy practices can help create ease, manage chronic diseases, support healing and especially, improve mental health.

  • Practical, effective tools that can be used when needed and as part of developing healthy daily habits.

  • Making good physical health and mental wellbeing more inclusive and accessible to more people.

  • Being part of a holistic solution and working together with other health professionals to provide a multidimensional approach to health.
